ARTE KA? MAS ARTE MI!

UNIQUE CREATIVE INDIVIDUALS, ARTEAM!

Mitz started as a one-woman team — creative director, operations manager, graphic designer, and creative host, logistics team all in one (basically a marketing agency lol).

What began as her solo side quest soon grew into something bigger.

Turns out, it really does take a village to make this community happen — and that team is now fondly called the Arteam.

Arte Artsy Social Club was established in January 2024, born out of what started as Mitz’s personal passion project. The first concept was simple (and a little delulu, as she jokes) — to create a community for people who love intention-setting, manifestation, and a little bit of magic.

Originally, she wanted to call it “Love and Light”, inspired by her painted artworks and her own healing journey. But during one of her art exhibits, a friend playfully commented while she was explaining how she added gold leaf details to her paintings :

That was the spark.

In Cebuano, “Arte” can sound a bit offensive — it means exaggerated or extra. But Mitz saw the beauty in that. She wanted to reclaim the word, to make Arte something positive, expressive, and full of life.

Because truthfully, Arte is an exaggerated expression — and isn’t that what art really is?

Through art, Mitz found healing, connection, and a sense of sanity. From that spark came a vision: to build a space where creativity, community, and connection thrive — a space that celebrates the transformative power of art.

Today, Arte Artsy Social Club continues to grow as a community that believes art isn’t just something you make — it’s something you live.

Keep on creating!

Mitz, who spent years as an Architectural designer, eventually turned her back to her first love — art.

Arte began as Mitz’s personal passion project — a small, intentional space for intimate art workshops that served as her creative outlet.

Mitz began as an intuitive painter, using art as a way to express her personal journey and emotions. Over time, her creative path led her to explore various crafts — a self-proclaimed hobby hoarder who eventually evolved into a creative entrepreneur.

With a deep passion for art, design, and immersive community experiences, she now transforms creativity into social connections through painting sessions, installations, and artsy pop-up events that bring people together thru art.
